So I was recently asked by a friend for two Book of Mormons. I said sure and asked my mom where our secret stash was. She later said what for? And I simply replied, just to read or for family. Later I saw a post on twitter sayings long the lines of, "Oh man. The new theme is going to be broadway!!!!" And I knew her favourite musical was Book of Mormon. Well I told my mom that and she seemed disappointed. But I was okay with that. Although it is a musical that is portrayed to make fun of our religion, I simply laughed and said, thank you for a big fat lie that is only true to the point of yes. Missionaries travel in pairs of two. But people don't realise that missionaries are not like that. And they definitely don't dress like that. The elders dress in Sunday clothing with a name tag. (Dress shirt and tie along with black pants.) also. Those are not the only missionaries out there. Women serve missions too, but they dress casually with skirts and jackets. And think of us as other people who are offering to give a Book of Mormon. You don't need to accept or agree with our religion, we still love you and we can still be friends. That is all there is to it. In my testimony of the gospel, I believe there is a god out there because of miracles. And he said love thine enemies. And to be honest, because of this, I can still love everyone for being who they want to be good or bad. So stop hating on us because we aren't hating you. That is why we never sue broadway. We are kind and generous people. And if one of us who claims they are mormon starts to do things such as discrimination and stereotypical things, that is their fault and their sin. I'm going to leave it at that for now.
