SOooooooOOooOoooOOOOOOOo
I am now a
wonderful senior at Marcos De Niza High school and It is AMAZING!!! It's only
the second day and I have been able to meet so many new friends and my teachers
love me (and i love them of course)!
Well anyhooo, one of the few downsides
that come along with the end of summer and the beginning of the school year is
the rise and fall of the summer reading. It was a long 14 hours but I was (with
strategic procrastinating powers) able to create a successful day of journal
writing and essay preparations along with reading two entire books both around
400 pages and then manage a 100% in all of my classes.
However, that is
most likely going to last about... 3 more days once life really hits me and I
learn that I can't do everything that I absolutely need to do within the time
frame. But hey I’ll survive with at least a B. The hardest thing to do out of
all of it was to wait until after the grading was done to tell Mrs. Benson (my
English teacher) that I had done all of the summer reading within a 10 hour
drive home and then the assignments afterwards within about 4-5 hours on a
computer about 6 hours before it was due on turnitin.com
(If it’s anything
that Trump is good at its how to give a good shrug and disappoint 320 million
people with the fulfilling ignorance within him)
But let’s talk now
about how wonderful the Kite Runner is and how every American (maybe sensor out
some of it, but i would actually suggest to read through it all no matter how
bad it is) in a hope that everyone is able to take the lessons and experiences
of refugees and what life really is like in the middle east
After really
looking into this and then following all of the political and current events
that led up to today, my hormonal mood swings fly to mars and travel through
the ever struggling days of realizing that high school is either the life or
the death of you. (And for me, I'm the loyal Gemini that I am going to pretend
that I am perfectly fine when in all reality, there are over a million flaws in
me that i can pick out of me until i become a speck of dust.) ANYHOOOOO
The main idea that
derives from the story (which i would go into more detail but 1, you should
read the book and interpret it how you want to, and 2, i have band practice in
like 2 minutes) is the ever struggling idea of second chances. Knowing America,
we have a lot of extra price tags that add onto the whole second chances in a
new world. These second chances for example include,
Being Caucasian
Being born in America
with full American nationality
*the blood of
those fathers who mistreated the native Americans so poorly to a near point of
extinction which in my opinion lead to the racism that people were raised in
but that varies and is just opinion NOT fact
Having a fully
paid job with a lot of money
Have a corrupt
government in which local town judges use opinion within their reasoning
instead of being logical *VERY much varies between
town/city/county/state/nation*
And so on.
And in Amir's
case, it involves finding a safe haven within the liberal streets of San
Francisco where he could live his life and religion in peace without trial. (In
which he did in my opinion)
But not everyone
is getting this option in life due to the selfish choices of fellow Americans
following the disappointing rhetoric that building a new "Great Wall of
America" and closing our borders to become the new strong independent
women that shouldn't care about others as a grand idea.
Wellllll....
A lot happens in
between all of this second chances (and well i never shed light on how he had
his first chance) but...
OK TIME DOESN'T
LIKE ME SORRY
Well i gotta
blast into band rehearsal.
Don't be selfish
and make sure that you realize that were all people and we all deserve chances.
Oki thanks bai
