Optimism

With a world that is struggling with bad politics and recently noticed... Terrible ones (looking at you Donald Trump), terrorism, global debt, racism, equality, and a list of never ending confusion, I learned at church and from our leaders that we need to stay together. A world that is trudging its way into isolation while being "connected" through things such as social media and cellular connection needs some saving and we are the only hope. Your influence has a huge change on society. With the world covered in a negative influence, one simple positive smile can change the world. For example, get a dish, milk, food coloring, soap, and a q-tip. Pour the milk into the plate. This is your world. Drop some food coloring in the milk all of which are in different spots. These blobs of separate colors are our cultures and communities in the world. They at first seem isolated and on different parts. But then there is you. A simple q-tip that tries to make a difference. If you put yourself in the world (dipping your q-tip in the milk) without any sort of change, nothing happens and the world continues the path that it is on. But if you have an act of kindness, you cover yourself with the dish soap of influence. Sharing that kindness impacts a lot of lives that you don’t even notice. Now put the tip of the q-tip that has soap on it in the milk plate (anywhere you want) and you will see the colors freak out and spin. Mixing with others and becoming a rainbow that is connected throughout the bowl. Our simple acts of kindness can go a long way. bringing people of different cultures together into one unified rainbow of positive influence and happiness.
